Rated 4 of 5 stars

This is a Candice Fox character driven novel that is based on a strange friendship and sequence of events that occurred prior to this story (read Crimson Lake to get the deets). Amanda Pharrell is a character that has a sordid history that involved murdering a young girl accidentally but she also has social issues even though she’s a pretty damn good detective. Ted Conkaffey is also a man with a sordid history, his more recent and nationally known, and it is following him even as he was released from prison but not cleared of charges. He is on his way to finding the truth of what happened in his case as he investigates a new murder with Amanda, as part of their private investigation firm. Readers will like the different personalities of the main characters and that each are not perfect at all but perfect partners for each other. You’ll get mystery, suspense and character-driven story with this one! Highly recommended for those that enjoy crime books but also want to have some relationship-oriented stories as well. It is recommended that readers start with Book 1 (Crimson Lake) to understand how the characters ended up like they did in Redemption Point.
Raging Book Reviews Highly Recommended
