New Book Review: Bad Blood

Bad Blood

RATED: 4.5 of 5 stars

I truly enjoyed this story by well-known Sanford. It follows the story of Virgil Flowers, a detective with wit, attitude and moxy. Called in to help a murder investigation gone sketchy, Flower uncovers a cultish church that he suspects of rampant child abuse and sex crimes. And boy, the story catapults from there! Sandford has a way of pulling you into the story with great character details. I could easily picture each character and surmise their actions. This story has some really detailed sex acts with children and highlights abuse in a way that makes the reader feel a bit icky. I think that was genius on the authors behalf because we felt what the characters felt…anger, disgust and hope that he would catch the culprits. Great fast paced mystery! Raging Book Reviews Recommended!
