Poison Dance: A NovellaPoison Dance: A Novella by Livia Blackburne
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I can’t tell you how talented Blackburne is in telling a period piece such as this one. The dialogue, accents were very good! No stone was left unturned in this quick novella packed with action, suspense and a rigid plot line that begs you to read on. I thought about the character James and his cautiousness towards everyone that attempts to help him. His respect for his fighting buddies and fellow assassins is evident in his brotherly love of them. Thalia was a meek, dancer with a bone to pick with a highly guarded nobleman. Her meeting with James comes at the height of his leaders death which gives him pause over the second in command. A bar scene gone wrong changes the lives if everyone involved. A great, intriguing and fast read! Love, love, loved it! Can’t wait until Midnight Thief is released in July!
